Ape who loves good science and good beer.
The in laws and rest of the extended family are gone and I'll have 6-10 inches of snow to clear tomorrow.

I'll be sipping this one over the next five hours. I love vanilla stouts, but the ABV on this one urges extreme caution.

My wife was flipping through the channels last night and when she got to HBO Latino, 50 First Dates was on.

Sean Astin's character still had the lisp in Spanish.

Abject horror for someone my age. The pea falls off the fork and rolls to the the farthest corner under the desk.

This little thing on the most-recent iPad software update is making many apps partially unusable, including this one. Those three worthless dots cover up the back button.

Anyone have a fix?

The difference between the Democrats and the Republicans is one party wants to cut the homeless population in half and the other wants to cut the homeless population in half.

@apnews.com is now blocking my ad blockers.

An article that has an ad every thee or four sentences is almost unreadable. Blocking the ad blocker makes AP's site about as readable as it was before I started using an ad blocker.

When discussions come up on immigration, gay and transgender rights, militaristic police tactics, and etc., I'm finding the phrase "Oh, just like the Nazis did" strangely changes the tone of the conversation.

Now that the House has the votes to release the Epstein files, I finally feel safe releasing the Administration’s redacted list of people named in the files.

Does anyone have a picture of the Charlie Kirk memorial that has a non-white person in it?

Going through my collectibles and I think this is my favorite.

Inaugural Bulls game at the United Center. One of the best seats in the house - court side just to the right of the center line. Continental Bank’s seats. I can see my dad in the videos of the game.

Is it company policy for GM service departments to tell customers that the wipers need be replaced no matter the condition of the wipers? Apparently, wipers can get worn out in two days.

I am now personally replacing the wipers the morning of scheduled repairs to test this premise.

This weekend’s beer is another Dark Lord Variant. Sounds great, but hoping the peppercorn is either faint or not there.

One hundred years ago, a 23-year-old postdoc named Werner Heisenberg completed a calculation that would become the heart of quantum mechanics, a radical yet stunningly accurate theory of the atomic and subatomic world.

My current, and very effective, conversation stopper: "Before we continue, did you develop this opinion by listening to the consensus of the top experts on the subject around the globe or did you develop it after watching something masquerading as news?'
