I am in the "watch video essays while I do chores" camp, but I always make sure I can see as well as listen. Fun and engaging videos like yours are a great way to make chores kinda enjoyable - I get my housework done *and* I get deep dives on cool and interesting games, it's all a win-win to me.

It helped that she had seen my work ethic first hand - I had been gunning for a promotion and working 50 hour weeks before leaving - and knew that I did grassroots fundraising.

6 months in, I am really happy in this job. I help kids in need, have really supportive co-workers, and get paid fairly.

My job in hospital fundraising is dedicated to supporting children's psychiatric care, but everyone should feel supported, be cared for, and know they are not alone, especially amid their struggles.

Thank you for reading and for any kinds words you might offer. I deeply & truly appreciate it. (4/4)

And while I knew of her struggles with burnout and depression, her death still came as a shock. I grieve both the loss and her own struggle. I feel for the families she leaves behind.

I hope to carry her memory forward and continue to do what I can to advocate for mental health. (3/4)

We were raised separately and while not super close, I deeply admired her.

She was one of the smartest people I ever met, spending her life traveling, working, and living around the world as a multilingual translator, interpreter, educator, and consultant. Unique in every sense of the word. (2/4)

FF7's bugs are absolutely delightful, but I am mainly glad folks are calling out the "0% Woke Shit" claim.

It is a very natural evolution of the same themes we see in FF7, Xenogears, and Parasite Eve - all of which have themes of subjugation and loss of identity at the core of their antagonists' plans. It's a really fascinating thematic touch point in Square's artistic output.

True, she is not Ultimecia but you cannot wholly separate one from the other either.

Edea, as a sorceress, was a figurehead puppet in many ways. All of her most memorable antagonistic moments were her channeling Ultimecia's words and actions, while Edea's own will was suppressed.

(Eros and Psyche is my favorite Greek myth, but it is kinda hilarious how Aphrodite is the antagonist throughout, and yet suffers no consequences for her terrible, selfish actions. Including locking up Eros and threatening to cut off his wings which is super messed up when you think about it.)
