This New Yorker cartoon from 1940 gets me every time
12 panel cartoon. In panel 1 a journalist is typing the words “Dog meat has been eaten in every major German crisis at least since the time or Frederick the Great, and Is commonly referred to as ‘blockade mutton.’ It is” In the following panels he is doing research, then goes to a pet store and buys a dog, he then brings a dog to a restaurant with a sign that says “We cook special dishes to your order.” In the final panel he is back at the typewriter with a haunted expression, finishing the paragraph from the first panel: “tough, gamy, strong-flavored.”

I mean you look at the ultra wealthy and a lot of them are dumb as hell. Maybe well educated, maybe pretty sharp in certain areas, but I think living a life where it's nearly impossible to lose dulls the mind. An ancient vampire is going to be really good at avoiding the sun and not much else
