Anzu has such a resistance to LDRs, but I think if Kyokuho canonically showed up closer to the start of post HW instead of after the start of STB and could be around a little more - there is a chance something could have rekindled there rather than them living in a non-wol AU. I think in canon Sidurgu or Thancred are there at such a crucial time in her healing process after losing Haurchefant, that it's impossible for her to not end up with one of them.

Orion's one of the few people that manages to be on even footing with Anzu in the sense that she doesn't feel like she always has to be the one taking care of him. It's mutual looking after one another, trusting him to be capable of looking after himself and others, and is even comfortable enough to let herself rest when he's around. I think their friendship also brings a lot of brightness to her that she hasn't had around since falling out with Kyo.

My return has been Ishgard since I started HW. Do I have a house in Empyreum that could get me there cheap? Yes - but it remains Foundation for Anzu lore reasons. I have a Shiro apartment to get her home to Kugane cheap too. The rest vary depending on what content I'm focusing on.
