I had a Coolest Girl in the World attack (opposite of an ugliest girl in the world attack) and decided to make a collage of all the moments I felt full of love and life and friendship and community. This thanksgiving, I’m grateful for all the friends and strangers who made me feel SO COOL in 2025!

I always tell my friends going to weddings that they can just flag down the photog and ask for a nice photo, so I put that logic to work at the vintage festival and got this photo back today :)

Yesterday we went to visit my sister in New Jersey and visit the Montclair Flea Market at Lackawanna Station. Then we went to see John fogerty! He was on my favorite Internet radio show Time Crisis with Ezra Koenig talkin up the tour so I snagged some tix! Ol boy is 80 years old and rippin!

For Halloween I transformed from a mild mannered press secretary to Strawberry Shortcake’s friend Orange Blossom! Then I joined like 200 people for an amazing harp show followed by my husband’s band performing Spoon’s Gimme Fiction! Happy Halloweekend one and all 🍊🎃🎸

I’m a summer girl through and through but we have added a fall celebration to our family’s liturgical calendar and I can’t lie, it really helps to have a formal ceremony to welcome in the harvest season with our friends and a little activity and a big meal

We hosted our annual pumpkin carving party last night and served a dinner of pumpkin ricotta lasagna and Brussel sprout and lentil salad with potato croutons :) 🎃👻

for months I have been muttering to myself "man I really should read more." and so I implemented a strict social media time limit and joined a book club at my local bookstore. So when I caught myself muttering "I should read more" yesterday, I could say, "wait, we do read more! we read EVERY DAY!"

GOOD MORNING FROM THE TRAIN!!! It’s school bus safety week! The biggest danger to our kids is CARS! If you can walk or bike rather than drive, you are helping to creating a safer community! Kids should be able to go to school and play outside without fear of a distracted driver killing them! LFG!

GOOD MORNING FROM THE TRAIN!! At long last I am covid-free!! Let me tell ya, that was not fun!! I’m so glad I had a covid shot about a month ago so my symptoms were mostly a nasty cold! I’m so grateful I could work at home and keep my germs to myself until I was better! Meds, care, and rest for all!

Baby you’re tellin ME!! I grew up in Ephrata and am WELL ACQUAINTED with the strong Klan presence there!! People do not like what Trump and the local Republicans are up to! They don’t like attacking the libraries and making everything more expensive! They just want someone serious nice and normal!
