Holiday Season is upon us!

I highly recommend Portland Syrups, they're delicious, and they have great recipes that really highlight the offerings.

If something is so precious that you don't ever savor it, then what's the point?

Savoring one of my precious @natwestinportland.bsky.social ciders tonight.

Flamethrowers are a dangerous scourge taking over our neighborhoods.

Too many people are walking around with dangerous, unregulated flamethrowers that are causing terrible accidents.

We need to ban ALL flamethrowers, like this one pictured, now!!!

I needed a new kitchen island that was bigger, with lots of storage, and sturdy enough to sit at the other side of it with tall stools.

Of course there's nothing in my price range like that.

But a standing desk base, butcher block top, and kallax that I already owned, was in my price range.

It's World AIDS Day.

My father has a panel on the AIDS Quilt. He was 39 when he died.

If you've never taken a digital walk through The Aids Quilt, and the Library of Congress digitization of the entries, I hope you'll consider it.

I need everyone to appreciate that because a jolly friendly candy maker in Florida (Greg) was college friends with a dark goth band leader (Rogue, of the Cruxshadows), that we get goth candy canes for Christmas.

Second attempt at focaccia.

One for someone else, one for me and my partner who doesn't like tomato on his.

I did not just...run out of tomato halfway through.

I made "what did I buy at the farmers market that I can throw in here" creamy shrimp with pasta.

Leeks, cabbage, kale, chanterelles, garlic, and this fantastic seasoning blend from Creole Me Up. (She thankfully has things my white AF "ginger is too spicy" ass can eat.)

I went on a group bike ride commemorating Oregon exploding a whale 55 years ago on a beach.

Willy Wonka themed.

We rode through Portland with Whaley Wonka, listening to the movie soundtrack, to a river beach, and "blew up" the whale.

Tonight's anti-fascist activity was biking through the streets of Portland while songs from the Willy Wonka soundtrack played, ending in a spot on the river beach where we "blew up" Whaley Wonka.

The budget that the mayor and his supporters are screaming about being reduced by 4 million is one that has already taken millions in funding away from housing people.

This is what these people really want, is more dead homeless Portlanders.

There's not much better than being in a relationship where you're just seen.

(I meant Fanta, and he not only knew I meant Fanta, but that I meant pineapple Fanta).
