The 90s were long; they lasted from the fall of the Berlin wall in autumn '89 until September 11 2001.

The 70s were long; they lasted from the Tate murders in August '69 until "Xanadu," August 1980.

(That leaves only a short 1980s.)

How do you carve up the 2000s/ 2010s/ 2020s?

The DS9 model was big and hung in this rig/stand so we could rotate it and roll it around the studio. You could ride it like stepping on a shopping cart. So I rode on DS9. (All before it aired.) There were also Klingon and Romulun ships and other federation ships but I don’t know their names.

the birthright clause was not just written to wipe dred scott off of the books, it was written to repudiate the *idea* behind dred scott, you might say the larger *ideological project* of dred scott. and the whole of section 1 of the 14th amendment is a constitutional statement of political equality

Here is the question presented. It's a relatively clean vehicle for the Supreme Court to finally decide whether it is lawful for the president to deny birthright citizenship to the children of immigrants. www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/25...

'Sometimes people use "respect" to mean "treating someone like a person" and sometimes to mean "treating someone like an authority"

For some, "if you don't respect me, I won't respect you" means "if you don't treat me like an authority, I won't treat you like a person"'

"the USPS is a miracle. it's in the constitution. for the price of a single stamp you can send a letter across the country, from Hawaii to Maine. Trump is trying to take that away from you. He's attacking Christmas cards and wedding invitations. It's un-American and it has to stop."
