Sorry my autocorrect has been more unhinged than usual, if that’s even possible.

I’m enjoying this show SO much.

All my life - "you'll never be able to buy a house if you buy avocados and coffee."

Now "WHY AREN'T YOU BUYING A NEW CELLPHONE??!?!?!?!"

Spoilers, I'll be 41 next week and I've never owned my own home.

Also not that it should matter because I think an education is valuable even if you don't "use" it for your profession, but I do. I am an academic librarian, I am required to have a master's from an ALA accredited school, and I'm a subject specialist in English my other advanced degree.

Yeah we have a pretty wide variety of streamers, and I’m still not even surprised. It’s just very frustrating in a mundane kind of way.

I get it, libraries in the US are chronically underfunded as well.

Yes, Libby is US based for libraries, but if you’re outside the US and have public libraries I’d just reach out, they likely have something similar.

I do not use Audible. I use libro.fm it’s almost the same model except their books are DRM free and a portion of their proceeds go to independent bookstores.

I’m a librarian and I also use Libby to borrow books. So I don’t see it as a replacement, but rather an alternative 2/2

So you pay a subscription fee and get 1 credit each month, and you can buy a book with one credit, so essentially you’re paying a subscription to get 1 book for the price of subscription each month, which is cheaper than the book would cost on its own. 1/2

Michigan, US. “I’d say two thirty,” I have lived in the UK though and would understand “half two.”
