When the kids were even younger and might crawl on our pup (we tried to keep kids from ever being too rough with him, but on occasion we did not catch it before it happened), his only defense was (and to be honest is) to start giving them lots of kisses. Distracts the kids with love :)

And, the meanest comments I ever got on Twitter were about pit bulls & how horrible they are. People have visceral hate for putties (agree grounded in racism). Thanks @kristaldixon.bsky.social !

Our is 70 lbs of muscle & looks scary. But he has never even growled at a human, even the tiniest bit. He loves EVERY person he has met. Every person.

Exactly how I feel. You have to spend extra money to keep your kids safe because so many people are poor and desperate or just resent the ultra rich so much. Seems much easier to just make sure everyone can eat and have a reasonable life so that you don’t have to be scared of everyone.
