Ah! That makes sense, sorry! And I fully agree. There have been a few other comic book cookbooks- some that preceded mine, too, I didn’t make up the idea myself! - but I absolutely think there should be more.

Thank you!! I am obvs very biased but I really think comics are a perfect and underutilized medium for any kind of instructional content. I’m always surprised there aren’t more comic book cookbooks!

Thanks so much for the preview! I didn't realize this update was actively in the works. If this is coming, I'll be super happy to stick with Buttondown! 💖

Oh, INTERESTING. I don't think I realized Squareup had a newsletter option! do they coordinate paid memberships with your Square account then? that might be a nice streamlined solution. Thanks for the tip!!

OOH yes I have been very excited for your L'heure du Lunch project !! ^_^

OOH awesome! That's good to know too - my only real gripe with Buttondown is the (lack of) design for the archives landing page. I just want it to show off a little bit of the art people will see if they subscribe. :-|

Buttondown has been great for a lot of things, but I hate how the archives display - not ideal for visual art. I like Ghost, but Pencilbooth looks cheaper AND really lovely. (also signed up for your patreon!) :D
