Back to #TheChairCompany (only on ep 3; it felt so similar to Friendship that I had to give it some distance because I was confusing plot beats). Anyway, just marveling at Robinson’s/the writer’s ability to choose the absolute weirdest way to say any mundane thing.

Post- holiday houseguests, we’ve picked up #TheAmericanRevolution again. I love Peter Coyote’s voice so much. I know I probably first saw him in E.T., but as a kid I remember him more from The Legend of Billie Jean (which had near Shawshank levels of play on mid-80s HBO).

Fair is fair, I guess?

Unfortunately, in US journalism it is considered neutral to spread a lie, but it is considered "biased" to call out a lie. So, there is a structural asymmetry that rewards colorful lies with virality.

KARL: Did you know about the judge's order when you issued your order for the planes to continue?

KRISTI NOEM: This is an activist judge. We comply with all federal orders that are lawful and binding.

huh i wonder if this is because like 90% of nurses are women (it’s definitely because of that)
The Trump admin now says nursing isn't a professional degree.

The admin plan to redefine what constitutes a professional degree to exclude nursing and limit access to student loans — outraging national health care groups and leaving nursing students questioning how they'll pay for graduate degrees.

Everyone knows data centers use a ton of water.

What hardly anyone knows: they can poison the water that remains.

And in eastern Oregon, Amazon is doing exactly that.

Every member of Congress and frankly every American should denounce what Trump did today in suggesting members of Congress be executed.

It shouldn't even need to be said, but apparently does: it is beyond the pale for anyone to suggest such things, let alone the president of the united states.

Great analogy for the recent ridiculous “give insurance money directly to people to pay insurance companies for individual plans.” … Pretending not to understand collective buying power, risk pools, etc.

Ghoulish.
The president is proposing that we take the 1 trillion gallons of water that fire departments use every year and give each American a 5-gallon bucket to fight house fires on their own terms. That makes them an informed consumer.
