Tarantino can have whatever opinions on actors he wants I guess but the collection of words "on an episode of the Bret Easton Ellis podcast, Tarantino said" is going to give me nightmares forever

This is a marked improvement over last year, when kid would routinely scream ROUND ROUND until I put on the Wheels on the Bus playlist. (We also spent kind of a lot of time adapting Wheels on the Bus into a lullaby as they sleepily did the hand motion for hours while also refusing to sleep.)

This is so fucking goofy. The context of being used in an extremely pilloriable article about Louis C.K. makes it goofier, but I get the sense after poking around a bit that writers for the New Yorker deliberately avoid using words that could summon the umlaut.

I'd actually love to see some deeper dives into rural coastal community responses to the Trump administration's priorities. Anecdotally, I go to the Long Beach, WA area a few times a year and the shift from abundant Trump signs to "we stand with immigrants" signs was ABRUPT

This is the fucking problem. His North Star is getting the Senate majority in 2026—as opposed to getting the Senate majority being a step *toward* a greater North Star. I don't think the statement disputes the notion at all. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/24/u...

Just a friendly reminder that even if this CDC update didn't go against the overwhelming evidence about the safety and efficacy of vaccines, avoiding serious preventable diseases should actually be a much higher priority than avoiding autism.
