Previously the (Labour) Member of Parliament for Ilam, Aotearoa NZ. Former midwife and lecturer.
Pro choice. Pro democracy. Pro science.
Proponent of kindness and empathy in politics. Yes, politics.

Opinions my own.
Honestly, good on him. What an awful crime.

I mean good for you but isn’t that a bit greedy?

It’s all going on in that thread. I’ve been outed by an informant and await arrest; there’s been murder in the carrot patch; people are confessing to misuse of traffic cones …

Have to find me first…

You really weren’t kidding, were you??!! 😱
Although they don’t make it clear if Stark was hanged for the carrots or the murders.

It’s a fair cop 😂

Carrots, eh?! In a bush, you say?
I’ll be reporting that directly to the Minister Against Domestic Agricultural Species.
Name: Joel
Location: In a bush
That’s sufficient info for NZ.

And from an actual MP …
Doctors and parents should make decisions about what is best for their kids health - not politicians. The Government has said doctors cannot give new prescriptions of puberty blockers to children who are suffering from gender dysphoria. That is putting kids at risk.

Oh? I’m not entirely sure how I can be much clearer.

I barely know how to express how sad and angry I am at the politicisation of essential healthcare for trans kids.
Just - this election can’t come soon enough. And when it does, we need to fight as if lives depend on it - because for some, that’s the literal truth.

Gerry won’t be standing again. He’s been list only since 2020, and I can’t see him stepping back after being Speaker.

I got these Sony XM4 four years ago and find them fantastic. Battery lasts ages, you can just use noise cancelling if you like, and they are comfy enough to wear for hours and hours.
You also get a free stand atm with PBTech - no idea what that’s like!

If it’s any consolation, Labours constitution requires at least 50% women in caucus … not candidates, caucus.

Selections for a lot of electorates has already taken place. That’s why.

Greens run candidates against incumbent Labour MPs, all the time. (Ask me how I know!)
Rongotai was Labour from its creation in 1996 till it was lost (with a very strong candidate in Fleur) to the Greens in 2023 - just as a random example.
Soooo. I guess I’m wondering when the rules changed?

Used Mevo a lot in Welly. Absolutely brilliant and genuinely removed the need for car ownership.
November 19, 2025 at 5:29 AM
Yip. Utterly shameful.
November 19, 2025 at 12:54 AM
I literally OMG’d out loud. How can we have allowed this? This and COP in one week 🤦‍♀️
November 19, 2025 at 12:53 AM
We don’t know where they are, M. Isn’t it awful 😞
