Meanwhile in Sayburç, one of the PPN Taş Tepeler sites of Turkey: A human head carved on the base of one of the T shaped pillars has been found.🏺😲
On the solid bedrock above which the pillar was located is the relief of a round human head with prominent facial features. I purchased this phalaenopsis 4 years ago from the supermarket just to save its life, back then it just had a few air roots, for the last 4 years I meticulously cared for it to keep it alive, and guess what, it started growing a branch for the first time! I don't even know what color it will bloom!😍

Beonze sculpture of a very muscular young man holding a spear. It was February 1885 when the statue of the so-called Hellenistic Prince was unearthed in the foundation walls of an ancient building, at a depth of about six metres. The discovery was made on the westem slopes of the Quirinal Hill, in the garden of the ex-Convent of Sari Silvestro al Quirinale, behind the church of the same name, during excavations on Via IV Novembre for the construction of the National Dramatic Theatre (demolished in 1929: the present building accommodates INAIL, the National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work) Just one month later, behind a second foundation wall of the same structure, the Boxer was extracted from the subsoil, buried under a blanket of sifted earth and resting on a Doric capital which had preserved its sitting position. The circumstances of these spectacular discoveries immediately seemed to suggest that the two Greek sculptures had been deliberately hidden, although their original location in Rome is still unknown, as are the reasons that led to their burial, According to a long tradition of studies, the bronzes once decorated the Baths of Constantine (circa 315 AD, southern slopes of the Quirinal Hill), a complex that is no fonger preserved today. The statues are thought to have been removed from the Baths and carefully buried with the aim of safeguarding them from some imminent danger, presumably piilaging. The area of the discovery nonetheless lies several hundred metres from the site of the Baths of Constantine. Meanwhile, literary sources, antiquity studies and inscriptions found in situ highlight that the area where the statues were found (near the Servian Walls and in a built-up area with urban residences) was also occupled by sacred buildings, including the temple of Semo Sancus, not far from Porta Sanqualis (Largo Magnanapoli), whose ruins lie a short distance from the ex-Convent of San Silvestro al Quirinale. Due to the substantial archaeological gaps existing precisely in the area of the Quirinal Hill…

A frescoed and partly broken wall, three different paint styles overlapping each other are visible (white and green, red and green, red and yellow). Also there is a chiseled graffito on the red segment, one of my favorite finds in the whole site😁) A wall segment with crude red lines is interrupted by another segment with painted leaves, below them is another, striped layer A fresco of the philosopher Chelion is adjacent to an upper, plain red layer The walls of a room- lower segments have red and green flowers, the overlaid upper segments have thick red bands instead. There is a medusa mosaic on the floor.

Abstract of an article in a medical journal: Cureus. 2024 Sep 21;16(9):e69828. doi: 10.7759/cureus.69828. "Phallus Reconstruction Using the Third Finger Transplant Method: A Case Report" Abstract There are many methods of phallus reconstruction, often requiring the use of prosthetics and multiple-stage interventions. The unique method discussed in this case report uses a finger complex in order to create a neourethra as well as act in place of the prosthesis, thus offering a one-stage intervention with the restoration of full biomechanical functions of the phallus and no need for revision surgeries. We present a patient, a 52-year-old male, who had previously undergone a subtotal penile resection due to oncological disease. In our clinic, he then underwent a phallus reconstruction surgery using a third finger from a non-dominant hand and radial forearm flap. After the surgery, he was able to regain full biomechanical functions of the phallus within a month as well as achieve adequate tactile and erogenous sensitivity.
