The Giants are adding another familiar face to staff: Longtime big league reliever Jesse Chavez will be their bullpen coach. Chavez spent 18 seasons in the big leagues and pitched for nine different teams, most recently the Braves last season.

I'd been hearing that Tony Vitello was trying to bring his Tennessee pitching coach, Frank Anderson, with him to San Francisco. Now Baseball America is reporting that it's going to happen. Justin Meccage and Anderson (father of former A's LHP Brett Anderson) will lead the Giants pitching staff.

Runner on third with nobody out. Blue Jays hitter just makes contact and flips the ball into left field for the RBI. Something San Francisco Giants hitters haven't done in over five years.

Obviously Bonds and Clemens should already be in the Hall of Fame. I wouldn't complain if all eight were elected. They're all qualified.
