PFI was always a stitch-up, concocted by Brown to fund improvement of NHS without breaking his fiscal rules.
Entering similar agreements now is insane.
The government doesn't need to do it. They could fund the NHS just by taxing the rich.
Instead they're using OUR NHS to make them even richer.

I agree withe your analysis. I think the "why" is simply the same political cowardice that leads him to echo Reform anti-immigrant rhetoric. Mustn't upset the Red Wall despite the vast majority of Labour members being anti-brexit and anti-racist.

The right attacking Reeves is purely performative? Apart from removing the 2 child benefita cap (which Labour should have done as soon as they got onto power but instead sanctioned MO who voted to do so) the ghoul has consistently hammered the poor and done very little to tax the rich.

All well and good but he also confirmed that Labour are, and remain, a Brexit party. Why doesn't he simply acknowledge that the referendum was advisory and it's time for parliament to reverse its secosiom?

As an atheist I don't really vibe with cards telling me to rejoice about the birth of an imaginary god-child, but it's never occurred to me photograph them, post them online then ceremoniously bin them.
