I do kind of think it's this? I am reminded of this graphic from the Dallas Fed--one answer is that Google is betting on that Red Line scenario (as for me...I have some questions)

all our timelines are diff I suppose, but I'm seeing a lot of this.
FWIW, one reason I liked Platner was bc I did not think, and still don't think, Mills can beat Collins. If we boot Platner, which it might still be worth doing, we at least should be clear eyed about the cost/risk

Gavin Newsom just vetoed the LEAD Act that would have required that AI companies make sure their chatbots don't harm / sexually predate kids. Dems are not our saviors on AI folks.

the Ann Arbor NIMBYS are really On One with this... tbc these measures would just allow us expand our beloved downtown library onto what is currently a parking lot, and build housing on top (gasp!)
