I see I’ve gotten a bunch of new followers so let me introduce myself: I’m a grad student from Charlottesville now living in Belgium. I research non-state actors and genocide. Mostly I post mostly about international conflict, cats, and stuff I see around Europe.

Turns out Trump didn't betray the Afghans enough during his first term, he has to betray them even further now.

Americans don't realise that the current military situation in Europe is a brief historical anomaly. European countries are very, very good at war. In fact they got so good at it that they killed millions less than a century ago and decided maybe we should cool it a bit. But that can change quickly.
