to cheer myself up (cos I'm pissed off about stupid shit) I've decided to watch this thing I just accidentally learned about: a Christmas musical romantic comedy zombie movie.

if everything had gone to plan I would now be carving a fully cooked turkey
instead I just returned a slightly (30 mins) cooked still-frozen turkey to the oven and it will be at least 4 hrs before it's done. 8pm. FUCK!!

after 3 hours of attempting to further defrost the turkey, I'm taking the coward's way out and just putting it in the oven for 20 mins until the damn giblets and neck are loosened and removable

bought a 12-lb turkey (for $5.60!) Monday to cook today.
defrosted plenty, but it didn't occur to me to rotate it cos it's colder at the back of this fridge. one end's defrosted, one end's not, so that end is in a bowl trying to be defrosted in cold water (ugh) so I can get the giblets out. sigh...

was given a li'l bag of homemade choco balls from a supervisor person (everyone got them) (Thanks, Charlene!), they're filled with various random flavors. one is mint.
