Oh man, I used to always spend Thanksgiving with family but have had to forego that for work reasons the last few years, and the friends that invited me to their tables are truly the best. I got my own family shirt last year!!!

The way that gate checking an item so that you don't have to squeeze it somewhere on board but don't have to pay for it AND have a guarantee that it won't get lost all adds up to such an easier experience absolutely mystifies me.
