Wildfires in north west Spain are over 100 km away, yet my hometown's sky is grey and heavy with PM10, PM2.5, and SO₂ according to regional met service.

Breathing feels like smoking.

But hey, climate change isn’t real, right? Just another totally normal summer

In a world full of climate-weather deniers, let the rhythm of knowledge guide us forward.
Happy #WorldMeteorologicalDay to all who dedicate their lives to weather and climate science 📉💚

Out of curiosity, I plotted 2-meter temperature anomalies for February 2025 over the Iberian Peninsula using different reference periods. Curiosity killed the cat – they say🌡️🌍🌡️

As a climate scientist, Dr. Joanne Simpson has always been my top inspirational woman.

P.S. A gentle reminder: Every day is International Women's Day, let's honour our female predecessors all year long

4 - Research Rabbit, a tool of literature discovery, combined with Zotero, reference management. This last ist is been replaced by Citavi, which I haven't used yet 🧵👇

3 - Overleaf and Authorea: The first is an online LaTeX editor—no more compilations and fights with LaTeX libraries on your laptop. The second, Authorea, is a text editor I recently discovered. It allows you to write directly, and formulas can be written in both Latex and symbols 🧵👇

2 - Grammarly: English writing assistant. I have been using it for as long as I can remember (which isn't much, honestly) to write essays, emails, and papers. These days, EditGPT could be an even better alternative 🧵👇

1 - VS Code or Vs Codium: code editors. And, of course, the fantastic Jupyter Notebook.
But there are also alternatives: Notepad++, Komodo, Sublime Text and long etcetera 🧵👇
