Apparently @pattonoswalt.bsky.social was in my town yesterday and he didn't call me. Very rude.

Look, for over a year, one brave Cassandra was warning you that massive tariffs were coming and that they’d wreak havoc on the economy. But no one listened to Donald Trump.

I hope @johngreensbluesky.bsky.social is aware of the tremendous #d3hoops week his alma mater Kenyon mbb is having! Beat OWU the other night, currently in double OT against 17-1, nationally ranked Denison!

If it’s not good news to the poor, the imprisoned, and the oppressed, then it’s not what Jesus is anointed to do, and thus not truly Christian—no matter how hard some may try to convince us that it’s “biblical.”

So, I recorded the process for making my #d3hoops Top 25 mbb ballot tonight. Not sure the interest out there, but if you want to know what I think about just about every relevant team, here it is: youtu.be/-G7MW5ORjTU

Curious if someone like @mcuban.bsky.social would run for Congress with the express purpose of becoming Speaker of the House on the platform of only presenting and passing laws with bipartisan support? There are 220 votes for a ton of things neither party will ever present.

“The theologian's task is to make it difficult to be a Christian. It’s also to make it equally difficult to be a non-Christian, that is, to present an account of Xianity that shows the difference that being a Xian makes and how that difference may intrigue and challenge those who are not Christian.”

I sure wish the Church of the Nazarene would be as aggressive pursuing and expelling pastors and leaders who protect child predators as they are taking the credentials of pastors and leaders who ask questions about the place of queer people in the denomination.

Not sure how many #d3hoops or #basketball fans are on here, but Stockton just cut a 20 point deficit to 1 against Catholic in the opening game of a weekend tournament here at Widener. Tune in! gomacsports.tv/widenerpride/

Big tip for new bsky users: fill out your bio right away. Very difficult for anyone to know who you are without some confirmation info.

Just FYI, if you don't see me following you (or following back), you're still likely on a list. I try to keep my experience pretty curated between different topics.

Re-downloaded the app today. Went looking for followers. Every bio recommended to me was either a swiftie or something called Bellingcat? I think bsky might be beyond me.

Just learned from @kenjennings.bsky.social that the Egyptian heaven was called the Sea of Reeds and now have all sorts of questions about the Exodus. Did you run across any articles in your research, Ken?
