These are all techniques pulled from the ‘Project Pegasus’ Houdini workshop, although I converted them to meshes on my own

PCG works with meshes fine, I use it with them using raycasting onto the surface. Layering materials requires a workaround but is possible, and I use a ID map for texturing rather than traditional painting. The ID map lets me use up to 256 textures as well on a landscape

this is only applicable when using Nanite, because it just handles the LODs for you. also recommend houdini for this, i actually have tools to split meshs into grids just for this on my github: github.com/srwxr-xr-x/H...
