This is pretty much par for the course for hospital systems and it has been imported from the private sector. “Thought leaders said we must do X, so you need to show that it gives us a return on investment”

Not surprised. Even with EPIC models, there is a huge amount of variability across service lines in terms of calibration and prediction performance
