They don't even need to end the filibuster - they can just pass the spending bills without any Dem votes. Please just go ahead and do that, you will own it. No reason at all for Dems to participate.
To be fair, the court didn't say that the government couldn't ban sports gambling - it said that you can't have a ban that doesn't apply to every state.
I've been doing the same. Learned to program in MSBASIC on a TRS-80 and made a career of it. MMBASIC is a fun throwback whether on a handheld PicoCalc or a super-fast CMM2.
This is all semantics. What we call ourselves doesn't determine our skills. IMO If you don't have an engineering degree or operate a train, you aren't an engineer.
I'm good with red light cameras, every light should have one (assuming the lights are timed correctly). Speed limits in general are a bit weird when it is assumed you will generally be above them and putting a camera at the bottom of a hill to catch more people seems wrong.
As we've already proven from 2020, there is no way to centrally hack votes in a national election. Trump is trying to interfere with 2026 in various ways, but 2024 was just the voters being incredibly stupid. Going all BlueAnon is a waste of time.
Of course we need to work together to survive. Communes work on a small scale where people of like mind can work together. As long as you can leave or kick people out, they can continue to work. When you get to larger scales, things seem to fall apart and end up as authoritarianism.
Crime is going down, which is great - I'm finding numbers more like 20%. The mayor talks about community violence intervention and law enforcement as part of a comprehensive approach. Arrests are up. We can support the mayor's efforts while not misrepresenting them.
I didn't use the DOS version, but I was waiting for a Windows 3.1 programming environment to get down to $100 and Turbo Pascal for Windows was the first one to hit the mark. Worked well for what I needed. VB 1.0 came out soon after and took over that market, but TPW continues to live on as Delphi.
A person in Congress has no arrest power. Not sure where you got that from. The Congress as a whole can impeach a President, but that has never worked so far.
