Ok...thinking this through...right now the largest importer of bitumen is the U.S. So I get that this makes us vulnerable...and other countries want the bitumen (right or wrong). But environmental and Indigenous concerns are very real. And why was BC left out of it?

He could certainly know about the lack of support from BC and the indigenous people by virtue of the results of the last pipeline attempt. And Smith SHOULD know but as a former oil and gas lobbyist she has uncommon faith in her connections. Whether that faith is justified remains to be seen.
