That'd be like dry-brining it, right? I wet brine turkey and think you can get all the moisture, flavour, and salt from that while getting the texture and browning (maillard).

Followed by a short series that "taught" martial arts. 1 was generic, followed by the 4 turtles & their weapons, followed by a 6th generic issue.

They followed it up with a karate issue the next year. Most of the art was done by the Reagan's Raiders guys!

Solson's TMNT comics were some of the first published by another company, and I believe the very first published to feature the turtles drawn by artists outside Mirage.

They started with a "how to draw" comic in 1985 (the only one to feature Eastman & Laird art).
