I can't believe I got tickets to the Expedition 33 orchestral tour! They went super fast, but somehow I had zero issue getting them (I was also on a Teams call the the entire time with my manager and she didn't notice me buying them on my phone, lol)

Because I apparently cannot stick to one idea and see it through to the end these days, I've started another new fic
It's very self-indulgent and might only have an audience of one (me)
I don't know if I'll finish it, but I do know I'll have a blast writing it, and that's what matters 😀

I was writing a medium-length fic before I got Covid & was about 80% finished, but being sick stopped me writing and now I have 0 motivation to finish
So I've started writing something new, lol. I'm at 5k and this is starting to look like a monster. 100k maybe?

This is Shein's supply chain. The factories are contracted to make clothes on order - some small, some big. If the chinos are a hit, orders will ramp up and so must production. Factories then hire temporary workers to meet the demand their permanent staff cannot fulfil.
The migrant worker from Jiangxi is looking for a short-term contract - and the chinos are an option.
"We earn so little. The cost of living is now so high," she says, adding that she hopes to make enough to send back to her two children who are living with their grandparents.
"We get paid per piece," she explains. "It depends how difficult the item is. I just accidentally brushed my fingers against my face and was about to freak out because there was something slimy there, and then I realised it was my lip covered in lip balm 😅
