Another example is Verho: Curse of Faces, which early on in development they were going to be using AI voices, but then decided to hire voice actors instead. Which again, is excellent, more of that please. Turns out, even if you do dabble with AI, you can just hire artists and actors like a boss!

Good example of this is The Roottrees are Dead

Back in 2023 for the game jam version, the developers used AI generated art. For the full retail version however, they hired very well renowned artist Henning Ludvigsen, which is extremely good and well worth praising. It's not here to stay!

I thoroughly reject that generative AI is something we are going to have to accept, it's simply not going to be true even in the wildest dreams of AI evangelists, and we have plenty of examples of games where AI generated elements were removed, so we know for a fact it can be done successfully.
