We are delighted to share that the threat of redundancy has now been removed from two areas that had been targeted - Leverhulme Centre for Forensic Science and Education Assistive Technology.

Congrats to our colleagues! We will continue to fight for all staff and the future of University of Dundee.
Our redundancies will not now go ahead.

Thanks to all who gave us their support and solidarity.

@ducuuo.bsky.social will fight and will win no compulsory redundancies for staff who are not at fault for the financial collapse of the University.

NO REDUNDANCIES at the University of Dundee.

Fantastic news in our fight to save jobs, as interim Principal Prof Nigel Seaton confirms that there will be no redundancies. A massive victory for everyone who has supported us.

Looking forward to receiving the removal of Section 188 in writing.

So much for attracting females into STEM subjects... This is a major backward step.
The University of Dundee is currently trying to make 100% of female research Professors in the School of Science and Engineering redundant.

100% OF FEMALE RESEARCH PROFESSORS!

Only one female professor (teaching and scholarship) from that School will remain working on our UK campuses.

Solidarity to everyone affected by these harmful cuts
Proposed cuts to services for disabled people will devastate lives. And they’ll create costs & pressures on other services. No one wins from these cuts. Many will lose. We cannot afford this short-sighted approach.
Solidarity with all fighting against @abshirecouncil.bsky.social cuts!

The University of Dundee continues to target female and disabled professors and Women In STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths).

No-one at the University can explain why they are doing this.

We will continue to fight to stop these compulsory redundancies.

Hello. Have given in and created this account. I still think Mastodon / Fediverse is a better platform and underlying technology (ActivityPub), than BlueSky, which could still be bought by a techbro and get Xittered … unfortunately the #AugComm #AssistiveTechnology peeps are not over there.
