I love Britishisms. I learned a new piece of rhyming slang on this trip: Ruby Murray for “curry.” And I learned that chicken ruby is delicious!

I am happy that the coordinates are given in degrees/minutes/seconds, and not those garish decimals.

Right? Stunning.

Really enjoyed that. Also I love that there’s a statue of George Washington right outside the entrance.

Unfortunately not. Too many other sights and too few days. I’m also gonna blame the farmers’ protest. 😁

We did stay at Page 8 and it was lovely. Thanks for the rec!

I don’t think so, because it’s mostly a resting place for hundreds of dead Britons, but don’t worry, there’s plenty of looted artifacts everywhere else!

I have just blocked at least a dozen accounts and I’m gonna block this dumbass next. As ever, thank you for somehow getting all the idiots to announce themselves so I can do a little spring cleaning.

I will do that soon but I’m currently in your wonderful country on vacation! Thanks so much for responding (and being one of the coolest accounts on the internet). Someday I will visit in person.

I can’t stop thinking about this one. It’s so badass.

Last but not least, the coronation chair, which has been used for the crowning of British monarchs going back to the 14th century.

This one’s for the #Phish fans. I dream of living long enough to catch the return of Halley’s Comet.

My wife says this reminds her of when I play two saxophones at once (a cheap but effective gimmick).

These two donkeys are identified in the plaque as “Wild Asse” and “Tame Asse.”
