It's a beautiful sunny, if breezy morning here.
Unfortunately I'm going to the funeral of a dear friend who left us far too soon. RIP Paul 💔

After a misty start the sun broke through to reveal the last of the autumn colour in Teesdale. And some nice mushrooms. Also an unseasonably flowering cow parsley

And BBC Woman's Hour discussing trans women being excluded from the WI without a single trans person included.😡

Not posted any nature or garden pics recently. Partly the weather and partly because I've been distracted by politics. Anyway here are the last leaves on one of the acers hanging on and glowing beautifully in the winter sunshine

I think some of my gay followers might enjoy this. 😋😋
Take a moment to watch performance artist Guillaume Juncar. You won’t regret it.

🚨 DLR cleaners are being denied basic company sick pay.
The current offer?
One week’s pay — but ONLY if you’re diagnosed with a terminal illness.
Please share if you think that's unfair.

Is NHSE forcing young people to detransition?
The minutes of a meeting, leaked to NWBylines, strongly indicate NHSE does not want the prescribing of puberty blockers at WellBN to continue

I try to be kind but I sincerely hope all those peers trying to stop the Assisted Dying Bill have the long, drawn out, painful and undignified death that they're wishing on the rest of us!

So very moving and so, so sad. That boy and all the children around the world deserve a happy life.

I met Omar Eid in Qalqilya, in the West Bank, while filming a story for the Austraian TV about settler attacks. He wanted to read poem for us, and I told him I’d make him famous. Please listen to Omar’s poem, and help make him known. And the poem says:

Today I'll mostly be remembering these 3 people. My.mum & Dad who served for 6 years in the Royal Navy and WAAF and my Grandad of the Manchester regiment who was gassed twice, lost a lung and had 17 pieces of shrapnel in his body.

Beautiful autumnal day for a walk by the Tees. Spotted this gorgeous maple and some mushrooms along the way but unfortunately the pics didn't turn out well. So none today 😪

Asylum seekers, housed in hotels in Manchester, are reaching out in their own words to address the concerns of the local community.

Please take a minute to read their letter, & share it with the people in your life who need to hear the truth about the people they are protesting.
