Can’t find it now, but one teacher posted that they showed their class a clip of Starmer doing some sort of 6 7 thing and that stopped them!

When sweeping economic decisions are made on such thin public support, nothing truly lasts.

Whatever is announced today, could be overturned tomorrow - by a completely different government, elected by an even smaller minority.

This keeps us stagnant, unable to plan and invest.

There is a better way.

Proportional Representation would give us governments that truly reflect the country, not just a fraction of it.

It would push parties to work together.

It would give Britain the foundations to grow, to innovate, and to invest in its future.

I think the ‘I’ stands for Insanity. Certainly feels that way.

“I like framing it emotionally; you could do it in more scientific ways, but, basically, if you had this relationship with nature – and lots of cultures do presently, and lots of cultures that don’t now used to – then the kinds of behaviours that lead to the damage we’ve caused don’t even come up.”

“The core problem underneath all of this is a kind of cultural, societal, fundamental disconnection with nature”

“This is more about abundance: nature in its entirety. So, not only are you coming to plant a tree, it’s also giving back to you, and it’s giving back the landscape, and it’s part of a community activity.”

Possibly my favourite place. Love it - the stones, the water, the view of Hoy, the ancient history of humans not that different to us in many ways.

I usually like The Bunker. But the failure to explain HOW, or even give any understandable practical examples alongside the doom talk made this episode intensely irritating!

You may be right of course. I buy it off and on, enjoy it, but wonder if its main effect is to make me feel smugly ‘correct’ in my views but politically impotent.

Hope you’re well. Seems years since Campaign School (and is!).

I sometimes think it (and a lot of writing) is pointless as it’s automatically ignored/discounted. But perhaps it’s not the influence it has on those in power that matters, but on those who could be?
