The man who never was but sometimes looked as though he might be. Cultural commentator for hire. Will work for food.
When I said a few months back that he was the worst BBC political editor of my lifetime, I got several people bleating that Kuenssberg was worse. But seriously, while she got a lot wrong, she had some vague sense of what the job was supposed to be.

I thought Rock 'n' Roll was a bit more complicated than that: it ends with the Rolling Stones playing "Start Me Up" in Prague in the 90s – rock 'n' roll reduced from something visionary, thrilling, world-changing to bland money-grubbing. Communism bad, but capitalism destroys art.

Yes, it is him. He has always been a notorious procrastinator, and frankly has been using the whole OBR thing as an excuse. Though to be fair, you have to give some leeway to a man who is 125 years old.

In what sense politically convenient? The two-child cap remains popular with voters, though it's clearly damaging. Starmer and Reeves have been pressured into going along with the party's desire to put country first.

The point is that voting against it was putting party before country – doing what they thought was popular rather than what would do people good. The framing is completely upside down.

Which bit – the Great Cambridge Partnership? The constant strife between combined authority mayor and city council? Or how the district councils fit in?
