Very true! Also they see people making really stupid arguments that do numbers...

Once every 6 months I see one and realise that they are utter genius - especially for somebody who spends a lot of time standing on people's doorsteps.... then I forget they exist.

Here's an odd thing: The internet makes it much easier for politicians to explain things in more depth to people - it's possible to take people on a journey, over time, from the leaflet level explanation to something much more complex.

But very few politicians are doing that.

Something odd on this tax: The EV tax operates even if you drive your car on holiday doesn't it?

ie. Drive to France and you'd pay local road taxes (e.g. electricity VAT, tolls) as well as paying your British per mile tax.
