Kinda took on more than I planned for November #MusicSky #musicchallenge - dialing it back tomorrow. In fact, maybe I'll take a break lol but some form of FOMO is gonna kick in.

Reminds me of that POS who said that the NBA was proof that there was no more racism in the US.

Thanks for always voting with the pendejo who wants to harm people. Also props to you for associating with misogynists, racists and Nazis.

We have learned that Tim Apple, Jeff Amazon, Mark Meta, Sundar Google, et al have no testicular fortitude and flexible ethical convictions.

The new millennium saw the band deciding to do an album of covers instead. Not a lot stands out, may be for completists only. A slowed-down "Homosapien" and "Neon Lights", and a version of "Hello, I Love You" that sounds like an "Achtung Baby" outtake. Feels like the band just trying out new things.

With titles like "Killing Andy Warhol" and "Superman v Supersoul", the band leaned to much into the electronics for 1998's "Neapolis", they're kinda unrecognizable (play "Androgyny" for old fans and see if they can guess who it is).

1995's "Good News from the Next World" refashions them as an electro-rock band similar to Garbage (check "My Life"). "She's a River", "Hypnotised" and "Night Music" are decent, although I still can't help hearing a bit of U2 bleeding a bit through. A product of the post-grunge/alt-rock times.

Since I got this running at the moment (Live in the City of Diamonds, 2025), let me just give a chef's kiss to vocalist Sarah Brown on "Book of Brilliant Things" and drummer Cherisse Osei, who took over the sticks from Mel Gaynor. A thoroughly enjoyable concert - feels like I was there euphoric.

That is a magnificent body of work, large swaths of which I had no exposure to. Particularly intrigued about 1995-2014, which I would think only a hardcore subset of fans would listen to them. Let me see if I can catch myself up, and post my thoughts as time allows.

Agree with you gents ... unsealed this bad boy reissue last weekend.

I'm still partial to "The Downtown Lights" but there is no wasted moment or effort in the whole album.
