Book 30: Annie Bot

This is basically Stepford Wives for the AI generation, and I really enjoyed it! (despite how truly awful some of the characters are.) Initially they felt unrealistic, but then I just browse twitter for a few minutes. They're not. #booksky

Just remember to turn the game off when we are still ahead with 90 seconds to go. You can then enjoy the rest of the day without seeing the bone headed mistake filled collapse that will inevitably occur.

I did do a bit of shopping, though, stocking up on Timberwolves tickets and THC sleep gummies from local retailers, and grabbing some Minnesota Wind Chill sun hoodies for the fam.

So you're essentially betting on the hype too. Which is the same thing that happened with crypto and with web3 and with blockchain and with the metaverse and with every other solution that was in search of a problem before bombing out. It's just this time it's at larger scale.

I mean, you've yet to show the actual benefit of these AI datacenters. There's a demonstrable environmental impact that isn't offset by a societal good being produced. Unless you consider AI slop a boon for society, but I don't.

And at least with farming, it's at least somewhat beneficial for humans in that food products are an output. AI, as it stands, is pretty worthless for most everything. Maybe it finds a solid use case, but it feels like NFT... and web3... and blockchain... and other "magic tech" that had no use case.
