Black Friday is such a different experience nowadays. As a 20 something, I remember queuing up outside Best Buy at 2 am & game planning with my brother on how we'd canvas the store to get all the killer deals.

Today I couldn't even tell you what a hot doorbuster item would be.

So... anyone else working today? Companies should just give today off along with Thursday. This is the first time in, probably 15 years or so, that the company I'm working at didn't have the day after thanksgiving as a company holiday. Just seems dumb, especially with the kids off from school.

Nothing more Timberwolves than their black friday $15 ticket sale going straight to a 404. A true embodiment of their end of game strategies from the past few games.

Michael B. Jordan, great as always. The story... an interesting one. Not so much a vampire tale as it is an allegory of appropriation. I enjoyed the cross between historical fiction, terror, loss, love, and music. The film was small in scale, but huge thematically.

one of the coolest things about ChatGPT is how you can actually just never use it. you can fill your whole entire life with simply not once using it. it's incredible.

As we close in on the fantasy football home stretch, it still boggles my mind that _this_ is my team. And that I have Jauan Jennings and Rico Dowdle just sitting on my bench in case of emergency.

And this isn't a tiny league. It's a 12-team, QB/2RB/2WR/TE/2FLEX league with 5 bench slots. #dominant

Honestly... you could have convinced me he's been in a persistent concussion this entire season, what with his ridiculous "9" persona and inability to throw a ball within yards of his receivers.

Folks... I believe in owning it when I'm wrong about something. And after watching the below video, I must now admit I've been wrong about AI. This is obviously the future. Put a datacenter in my backyard if it'll mean I can roast Billy from down the street using all sorts of swears and slurs. 🙃
Everything about this might be the saddest thing I’ve ever seen

Just a friendly reminder as we go into the holidays:

Folks don't have to explain to you why they don't drink.

If you offer them a drink and they decline, don't ask them why. It's not your business.

Just offer them something without alcohol to drink instead. And move on.

Watching the Vikings, Colts, and Seahawks games in triple box so I can really feel the pain. McCarthy is painful to watch.

This is basically the inverse of The Mist. Whereas that movie was a slog to get through before a tremendous climax, The Long Walk has a very meh ending after a spectacular journey to get there. Still quite worth the watch, but disappointed by the very whelming finale.

Let's see how long our state can keep these environmental disasters away. I'm worried it won't be for too long, but hopeful we'll try to hold out.

Absolutely loving the extended run the bench players are getting tonight. Bones shooting the lights out, Beringer getting blocks, Miller looking…like a basketball player. Even Ingles making some sweet passes. This is super fun scrub time!

Just do this everywhere. That something like "tax the rich so school kids can have food" needs to be voted on (and doesn't get 100% of the vote) routinely boggles my mind. The selfishness of such wide swaths of our society makes me profoundly sad.

This film is definitely not for everyone, but it is DEFINITELY for me. Non-stop action, wonderfully choreographed fights, a hyper-kinetic approach, and some decent humor make for a fully engaged watch. I loved it and think anyone who enjoys action will get a kick out of it.

So it looks like tonight's Wolves game is ALSO on Peacock again. Why the hell am I paying for FanDuel when it can't provide all the Wolves games? It's not like it's a cheap service...
What kind of bullshit is this? The Wolves game is only on Peacock? Who the hell has Peacock? I already pay for FanDuel Sports to stream games. I'm not gonna pay for YET ANOTHER pointless streamer for a regular season game. Sigh..... Go Wolves, I guess. I'll check the box score in the morning.
