The weather has been perfect for the perennial poppies. Some years I lose them to that black mold when we have lots of rain in May. Not so this year! #gardening #poppies

A few years ago I bought these two at a PNW native plant sale. Native Columbine and a delicate little native Iris. Reminds me of a Siberian Iris I grew years ago in the Midwest. #Gardening #nativeplants

We weren't sure whether an urban location for a beach vacation would be enjoyable, but Waikiki was great! Even from a 31st floor balcony, the view of the ocean was soothing and beautiful. Easy drive to other beaches, but this one was very chill. Loved it!

Just look at this. The man is 6'5 and can float, completely relaxed, on his back with his toes sticking up out of the water. I'm in awe. I sink from the waist down every time I try.

Lucky to be on the parade route today for the ML King Day celebration in Honolulu. Here we have the Buffalo Soldiers Harley Club! Loads of other civic groups, clubs, unions, churches and schools. Great way to spend the morning!

I will be observing a self-imposed media blackout for the next few days, or weeks, or maybe years. I refuse to watch the shitshow that the next 4 years will be. The first 4 did a number on my mental health so I can't let the toxic mess infect me this time.
