Ah yes. Only a handful of us were still there and that changed the company policy for who could pay with the card at the end of the night forever more.

Quietly folded my papers up and put them in my pocket. BECAUSE IT WAS VERY MUCH NOT A ROAST. DON'T START A ROAST AT A NOT-ROAST. IT IS A TERRIBLE IDEA. I was able to deliver the jokes later, off to the side, to him and a friend of ours. It would have hit, HAD IT BEEN A ROAST.

Loved that my first exposure to Stilt-Man was, I think, the first issue of Damage Control. And their first appearance was maybe Josie’s bar getting wrecked in a Marvel Age.
