Our South Philly Acme grocery store got a Pokemon vending machine up front a couple of months ago and I was so confused until I saw some guy excitedly get multiple boxes of cards from it. But I haven’t seen anyone use it since so I still wonder why it takes up the space.

Years ago, a party was thrown for a former boss of mine who was moving away. It was billed as a roast. Worked up some mean/funny jokes with the help of a couple of writer friends. Got to the party. People were getting up, talking about how much they'd miss him, great neighbor, terrific guy, etc.
