It seems like 100 years ago. But I was at the Supreme Court in 2018 for what then(!) seemed like the most Oklahoma argument ever.

I was really taken today with these Kimberly Winkle pieces at a show (A Usable Past: Reflections on a Nation and Its Inheritance) at Philly’s Museum for Art in Wood. The show is up through February 15.
“Accumulation” (2025) A wire basket in a teardrop shape hangs from a wooden mount on a light blue wall. I’m super-excited that the Philadelphia Orchestra received a GRAMMY nom for its Still & Bonds recording. I particularly love Margaret Bonds’s “Montgomery Variations,” an important, moving, and overlooked piece. And the Orchestra does the work proud.
