For the annual Medarot Day stream, there were announcements of new units coming to Medarot S, an upcoming collab with Shin Megami Tensei and the producer once again informally reaffirming Imagineer's plans to return Medabots overseas
A live event will be held for the 25th Anniversary of the Medabots anime. Michiru Yamazaki (Ikki's VA), Junko Takeuchi (Metabee's VA), Misato Murai (Arase's VA in the Medarot S mobile game), and the franchise's creator Rin Horuma will be present.

In 2016, Imagineer shuttered its subsidiary Delta Arts (responsible for Medarot DS and 7-9), seemingly closing the door on further mainline games. However, Japanese fans were recently surprised to find that the staff still works at Imagineer.

Japanese outlet 4Gamer has published an interview with Medabots producer Unohee-san ahead of Medarot Survivors launch. Among other things, the interview includes the most direct statement yet about Imagineer's intention to reintroduce the series worldwide.

When announcing Medarot S, Imagineer promised the game would feature designs from popular artists and they're taking that promise *very* seriously: recently announced is Azuruler by Naohiro Washio (of Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans, Fafner, Mad Stalker, Evangelion 1.0 and Other Things fame).
