Ep 4 done and lol guess who they set up as the main focus for the rest of the series?

That made me actually angry. A 500 million dollar mediocrity.

Quite aside from the plot being incredibly slow some of the dialogue here is just atrocious.

There's a moment between two characters concerning coming out that should be sweet and moving but instead sounds like an educational video from the 70s. Sloppy af.

He was essentially a bit part in the first series, a glorified extra. Extremely clear now that's where he should have remained.

Also, biased and everything, but I would be stunned if we ever see Schnapp in anything after this. He's got the emotional range of a grapefruit.

The classic one good season with several shitty followups

3 episodes in and nothing has happened.

*I don't necessarily see the purpose of a boycott, I don't know what that would achieve in this case, but it turns out the whole cast are assholes! Great!

The constant referring to everyday events through the lens of D&D was cute when the characters were literal children. Now they all look like 40 year olds and they're referring to "coming out of a coma" as "resurrecting" and shit.

S4 ended on a literal apocalyptic note but this first episode is spent spooling that back and dealing with the same old high school nonsense that got old 2 seasons ago.

Also, none of these characters are particularly likeable any more. And the pop cultures references are... god they're tiring.

And it goes without saying but fuck Noah Schnapp. Obviously.

Ooof those examples are rough as hell.

I remember the game as dealing with its protagonist with an even hand, critiquing as well as praising, but the "the buxom woman boobed bustily" stuff is gross indeed.

Now I really want to replay it, see if there's any of the game I remember left there.

I don't think I've ever seen one like that before, what a great accessibility feature!
