Brooklyn was sent to another dimension last night when Purity Ring performed new and classic material. Multi-dimensional visuals added a phenomenal layer as singer Megan James hit every ethereal note. The enthusiastic crowd was lost in ecstasy. Electro Pop. New song: youtu.be/-PqU7FUTmqk

Tune-Yards concert turned into a big sing-along. Outstanding performance, remarkable voice, and fans who are crazy about them. Indie Music Indie Rock electronics, loops, drums, saxophones, bass made for a fantastic end to their tour in New York at the Bowery Ballroom in Manhattan

Me. It’s always funny to find myself in a published photo. The Beaches posted this image from Tuesday night. Incredible show. These women are in top form, having fun and turning every night into a party. Jordan Miller’s voice is incredible. Here’s a sample: youtu.be/JKDd8TmxuXE

I went the third day of the All Things Go festival in Forest Hills New York City. Long, hot day with lots of great music. I saw G Flip, Blondshell, Paris Paloma, The Last Dinner Party, The Marias, & Clairo. I wore my TLDP t-shirt so here’s a short video with Abigail going off. Indie rock, indie music

I saw Charly Bliss kick off their return to playing last night. New album coming soon. This band is so high energy live. I can’t get enough. New York audiences at indie rock concerts are the best. Also the concert was on a boat sailing past the Statue of Liberty. Super fun night.

I saw Men I Trust last night in the beautiful Prospect Park, Lena Horne bandshell in Brooklyn. Like the last time I saw them, they somehow make their easy-going catalog energetic and fun. Excellent guitar work, beautiful, fun night.

Get to know Wet Leg. They came from nowhere and conquered the world. Their first album exploded across the planet. New music out this month. Same amazing vocals, hot guitar, straight-up indie rock feel. They look different, but the wacky indie rock intensity is very much intact. youtu.be/lCvS0n75ohc

There’s no band like Sleigh Bells. Homecoming show in New York last night reminded me why I keep coming back. They are just one of the best live bands period. Alexis crowd surfed front to back to front. The Manhattan crowd was nuts. Super high energy, positive vibes, I can’t get enough. My 5th time.

This 4 day Kilby Block Party has been absolutely fantastic! Great energy from every stage! I’m just sharing one short clip from Real Estate. I’ve waited years to finally see them live. I loved every minute. Just like last year, this festival has great indie music & excellent, friendly vibe.

Kilby Block Party day 3. Saw 5 bands, here’s a couple short videos. First Panda Bear then St Vincent. Fantastics shows all day today. The Kilby crowd is great and so far - no rain.

I decided to hang back for the headliner Beach House. They were the band I wanted to see most and did not disappoint. Incredible experience. I’m tired, but ready for day 3 and 4.

Day 2 at Kilby Block Party. Saw Vagabon (excellent), Momma (Mosh Pit), Rilo Kiley (Just Wow!), and Slowdive (awesome) before the headliner (next post)
