The chief horror is the rewriting of the human rights gains we've made since WWII to frame only 'contributing' migrants (whether asylum seekers or not) as worthy of life & safety.

But I'm also here to call BS on the 'Britain welcomes high-skilled migrants' thing. I do not feel welcome here.
This is so disgusting.

Green party policies are popular amongst ordinary Brits, so calling us nuts is offensive to the electorate who support them

I get it though, Labour are doing so badly and now find themselves fighting on two political flanks

Come join a positive, hopeful vision of Britain!

BP to scrap paid rest breaks and most bank holiday bonuses for forecourt staff.

Changes to employee benefits would cut take-home pay by at least 6.25%.

Would exec pay and dividends be cut? No chance.

Hard-won rights eroded as corporations rule without ever being elected.

Back to Victorian times.

Counterpoint: Cheaters don't feel shame.

... But people who are newly disabled, have milder versions of disabilities, or have invisible/undiagnosable disabilities feel a LOT of shame.
Balancing "no person with a disability should be denied accommodations" with "it's important to discourage non-disabled people from pretending to be disabled to take advantage of these accommodations" is really difficult and I don't have a great answer for what anyone should do about it.

So why do so many capitalists, the great “innovators” and “wealth creators”, ever have to rent/sell for profit *anything* necessary to life?

Housing, energy, food supply, water, and healthcare, shouldn’t ever be seen “smart” investments, owning and charging for them is basic AF extortion…
