We cycled parallel to the rail line - it shadows the canal. Same route at different speeds

I have to confess we had a car to get over that hill. It does feel like a place searching for a new meaning

The road over the hill is very twisty. One lonely petrol station sits forlorn near the top.

We rode this one in the opposite direction. Cerbère has the feel of a shifty border town that recently benefitted from some impressive urban renewal. Nobody has told the shifty station bums.

They do trains well.

Good luck with the adventure

Don’t stop at Sopot. We cycled from Gdańsk to Copenhagen last year. The Polish coastline is as good as the Gironde in France. A hidden gem. And all cycling is separated from cars.
