Doesn't make much difference where he wants to play when he misses half the games injured every damn year anyway.

Thanks, I thought I spotted her at one point but wasn't sure. Hope it's something like that, because her emergence was one of the few positives from the Montanana era.

GB win 85-64, and made it comfortable in the second half. Trailed by 13 early, so a win by over 20 is a nice start to the campaign.

Full senior debut tonight for 17-year-old Irene Oboavwoduo, who's gotten a bunch of seond-half minutes and just scored her first point. Heading to Boston College next year. Looks a little light-weight for this level right now, but that's okay at 17. A definite prospect.

Kitty Henderson's turn to get hot from outside, and GB have taken control of this game, and made Switzerland actually look about as good as they are (which isn't great). GB up 72-56 after three, and might try to rest some people for the next two games, if possible.

Winterburn finishes the first half with 20 points, incluing 4-7 from three, with all the makes coming in the final five minutes. And a couple of them were from deeeeep. GB lead 44-38, mainly off the back of that (and Green's physicality inside). Wasn't going well until Holly exploded.

And then, dear reader, Holly Winterburn woke up. Couple of sloppy turnovers, but the scoring has more than made up for it. GB up 3 nearing halftime.

Looks like Kaltsidou has tried to change up some of the defensive principles, and the players are still adapting. Some of the rotations on defense have been far from crisp. But Cheridene Green's introduction has at least helped us get involved in this as a contest.

Desperately rough start for GB. We do not have enough talent for Holly WInterburn to sleepwalk through games like this. Also, she may not have played in the league yet, but Winterburn definitely already whines about calls like a WNBA player.

No Sam Ashby in the GB 12 for tonight, which might be down to some kind of injury? Was one of the bright spots in recent squads, so if she's been left out purely through coach's choice - in Stella Kaltsidou's first game in charge - it'd be a bit of a surprise.

Denmark lose a heartbreaker to North Macedonia 79-78. Danish guard drove down a wide open lane on final possession but clearly had no left hand and couldn't finish. Told you these would get more competitive.

As always, one of the fun bits of these windows is seeing which random Americans pop up as naturalised options on the rosters. Kamiah Smalls is now Bosnian and currently facing Abby Meyers and Israel, for example.

Further demolishing your already-tanked trade value is always so helpful in getting yourself traded.

Oh I find them utterly unwatchable. Far and away the most interesting element of the whole thing is the debate over which players should make the rosters. But that doesn't change the fact that teams fight over hosting the NBA one and actively avoid hosting the WNBA one. Both are awful basketball.
