I liked this piece about the election. It’s old ground but the Australian system should be proud of both the AEC and the preferential voting system. You can express your actual preference without wasting your vote-simple but powerful.

In this paper, @rich-norman.bsky.social and I & co-authors examine how to judge when a HRQoL value set becomes 'obsolete'. Some of the value sets used to estimate QALYs are very old. When do they cease to become a valid representation of societal preferences?

Big news at the Swans. Longmire is so underrated partly because of his GF record. In a salary cap system in a non-traditional market, to keep them up the top for so long is remarkable.

As the left flees and X loses broader relevance, it becomes a more overtly right-wing site, @alibreland.bsky.social writes. But the right needs liberals on X in order to push conservative perspectives into the mainstream.
