It's not normal for an American president to send troops to American cities in times of peace.

Chicago, document what you see and be loud for America.

The overall takeaway from the Epstein survivors’ press conference is that they are united and are no longer going to allow rich and powerful men to victimize, silence and intimidate them.

Including the ones in Congress and the perp in the Oval Office.

Genuinely curious. Family member went to first day of #Engineering at University of #Calgary yesterday, 2nd year. Both morning classes the professors did not show up. No explanation, students waited. How is this acceptable? Job action? What’s up? Not a great start to term. #uni #firstday

Per Dr Atul Gawande, ex USAID: “All malaria supplies protecting 53 million people, mostly children, including bed nets, diagnostics, preventive drugs, and treatments – terminated.”

There are no words that sufficiently describe this level of cruelty and sadism.

The premise of American foreign policy to Ukraine, today, is one of grievance. It is worth patiently considering the proposals. They reveal little about Ukraine, but much about America in February 2025.

Conservatives, like Scott Moe, understand the Republican assignment— pretend the tariffs are about fentanyl and migrants. This is how conservatives traffic, in feelings, not facts. Whatever feelings will manipulate voters, that’s all that matters. Moe is weak.

It would be nice if people could stop acting like DEI is an only a moral good.

DEI strengthens organizations. People from diverse backgrounds bring new ways of solving problems and serving people.

DEI isn’t a gift to diverse people. It’s a gift to the orgs that hire us.

The Alberta Government now wants to allow coal mining in the Eastern Slopes of the Rocky Mountains.

Coal mining.

COAL MINING!

IN THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS!

They tried this is 2020 but backed down due to huge public outrage. They’re now trying again.

Spread the word. Let them hear you.

as LA is burning, a swath of the country is recovering from an ice storm, Alabama is preparing for up to 6” of snow and I’m praying for the TX power grid, a reminder:

we don’t need climate action just for future generations, we need it now.

the climate crisis is here, all around us

Seeing many thoughts and prayers for LA. I understand the desire to appeal to a higher power. However what is needed is #ClimateAction. How about those that pray, spare a prayer for a better response to the #ClimateCrisis. It’s decades past the time we should have acted on this.

Amen to this. And stop with the musical notes when we reach temp, when we add food, when we flip food (ninja grill) or time is done. Keep it simple and quiet!
I don't want my fridge to have a camera or Wi-Fi. I don't want my dishwasher to be smart. I don't want my washing machine to text me.

In fact, I kinda miss knobs and dials and knowing big appliances would last 20 years and could still be repaired.

A little piece of Saskatchewan collapsed literally in my face last week. A commercial freezer door flew off its hinges and caused a concussion. Feel bad for grocer, who is trying to operate with crumbling equipment. Made me think about struggles of small business. Also, risks of deregulation. 🤕
